New Property Manager for Caribbean Park

Caribbean Park is very pleased to welcome Tim Rubio aboard the team this week. As Property Manager, Tim will take on the significant role of day to day management of the award winning office precinct, while also helping us to prepare and build our processes for the imminent expansion that will occur mid-next year when stage 3 opens to the public.

Tim will bring with him a vast array of experience which spans several market sectors including many years of exposure to commercial office and business park environments. Being a local boy born and raised in Glen Waverley, we believe he will fit right in to the Caribbean Park philosophy of providing exceptional amenity and innovative ideas to help all our tenants operate in an environment that allows them to reach their true potential.

Tim will be in contact in the near future to organise a meet and greet with each tenant’s representative(s), he may even buy you a coffee if you ask nicely!

Also a special thanks to Will Carvill for stepping into the breach to fill the void until Tim has joined us, he will now return his focus to construction activities.

AUSTRALIA’S BEST BUSINESS PARK

Caribbean Park has been awarded the Best Business or Industrial Park as part of the Property Council Australia Innovation and Excellence Awards for 2018.

We’d like to think that we’ve won the hearts and minds of the people who work within our Industrial Park and who visit our grounds; and to now be formally recognised by the Property Council of Australia as the best in this category is such an honour.

The awards recognise excellence in design and innovation in the building sector for businesses and projects in state and national categories. The winners of this year’s coveted awards were announced at a Gala dinner in Sydney on May 11th, acknowledging property development and investment industry groups who demonstrate leading practice and adaptability.

Caribbean Park, owned by the Spooner family, currently comprises over 230,000 square meters of office/warehouse buildings and four world-class office towers totalling 32,000 square meters. It also includes a large variety market and gardens attracting over 15,000 people each week as well as Caribbean Rollerama, Caribbean Boats and Lake Caribbean being the centrepiece.

Today, it is recognised as a world-class logistics park that sets a new benchmark with blue-chip tenants such as Wesfarmers, Target, AGFA, Hallmark, Russell Athletic, Penguin Random House Books, Cummins and CSR, to name just a few. Notably, it has recently earned a 5 Star Greenstar Rating by the GBCA (Green Building Council of Australia) for its beautifully appointed office towers, positioning the business precinct as one of the most innovative and environmentally efficient in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs.

A truly visionary commercial destination, Caribbean Park will in time deliver over 40 commercial buildings across 188 hectares of park lands that will surround Lake Caribbean, an existing asset of the land holding.

Caribbean Park Director, Ben Spooner said “We are honoured to be awarded by the Property Council of Australia, and to be recognised for the vision we have created for Caribbean Park. We continually strive to maintain growth in all areas of our business; to develop new office buildings, create expansive parklands and grow our retail and lifestyle facilities. It is something we are proud of and will continue to invest in for our community to enjoy.”

Since1982, the Property Council has been effectively promoting and celebrating innovation and leading practice within the property development and investment industries. The 2018 awards were judged by 10 independent, leading industry professionals, including National Director of Colliers International, Denis Coupland and Property Council’s National Awards Chairman, John McCarthy AO.
