I am Leah Agius and I am the Centre Manager at Greenwood Scoresby, this bright new and exciting early education centre for young learners. I have been working in the early years sector for over eight years and begun as a diploma qualified lead educator. I went on to study my Bachelor of Education at Monash University and began teaching children aged 4-5 in the kindergarten program. My career then took me further as I was given the opportunity to step into management at my previous early education service. I have been in management for over three years and it has been an exciting challenge and opportunity to not only teach and educate young children, but to also have apart in leading educators and working together as a team to provide the best education and care to children of all ages.

In the first 5 years a child will learn so many important life skills that they will continue to develop and have forever. Working in the early childhood sector allows me to be a part of this for young children and have an impact on these aspects of their learning in their first crucial years of life. A child needs to build strong relationships (with adults and children) within their first years to feel safe and secure and a part of belonging to a community. Being a part of Greenwood Scoresby, children will feel belonged to our service and will be able to build great relationships with all educators and children.

I am excited to be a part of the Greenwood family and to build a strong and knowledgeable team of educators to ensure children can learn and develop within our service. I am looking forward to meeting all the children and their families and knowing how I can make the experience at Greenwood Scoresby as positive as it can be.
