Event Central at Caribbean Park is throwing open its doors

Victorians have every reason to be excited by a new outdoor event and festival space set to open in January 2022 on the reimagined grounds of the once iconic Caribbean Gardens & Market, in Melbourne’s south east. In June 2020, Covid brought to an end five decades of trade for Caribbean Gardens & Market however, Event Central, as it will be known, has an ambition to once again establish a thriving hub of community entertainment; This this time in the form of outdoor events for all Victorians to enjoy. Caribbean Park, the suburb-sized development for which Event Central is only one component, is the largest and fastest growing office precinct outside of the Melbourne CBD. Caribbean Park managing director Ben Spooner enthusiastically shared, “We’re all looking forward to a new way of life in 2022, and at Caribbean Park, the launch of Event Central will coincide with the opening of our new hotel, Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park, which is great timing. Delivering quality events is what matters and that is why Event Central will be professionally and independently run by industry experts. We are very excited about seeing the place humming with people and enjoying the grounds once again”. The soon to be opened event space totals some 100 acres and features stunning and expansive, open,green space, plus a remarkable 40-acre lake. Multiple events zones will ensure a fit for all.
