After a decade of success in Sydney, we are excited to launch Run2Cure in Melbourne! Join us on Sunday 12th November in the Caribbean Gardens to run or walk to benefit the childhood cancer neuroblastoma.

Choose between our popular, timed distances of 10k and 5k as well as our family friendly 3k or 1k Little Heroes Walk. All events will be run on a mixture of asphalt and hard packed dirt path around the lake and surrounds in the gardens precinct.

When asked what is the meaning of the song The Church Under the Milky Way?

Steve Kilbey told the Guardian Australia, “It’s not about anything. Like all my songs, it’s a portal into your own mind where I give you a guided meditation. It’s a blank, abstract canvas for people to lose themselves in.”

 

Steven John Kilbey is an English-Australian singer-songwriter and bass guitarist for the rock band The Church. He is also a music producer, poet, and painter. As of 2020, Kilbey has released 14 solo albums and has collaborated on recordings with musical artists such as Martin Kennedy, Stephen Cummings and Ricky Maymi as a vocalist, musician, writer and/or producer. Ian McFarlane writes that “Kilbey’s solo recordings [are] challenging and evocative. They ran the gamut of sounds and emotions from electronic and avant-garde to acoustic and symphonic, joyous and dreamy to saturnine and sardonic”. As of 2020, Kilbey has over 1000 original songs registered with Australian copyright agency Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA).
