Hisense presents live talk with Barry Du Bois at Caribbean Park

Barry Du Bois chats RUOK?

On behalf of Hisense Australia, you’re invited to a live talk with Barry Du Bois on Tuesday 9 August at 11am.

Famous for his seat on the couch of Network Ten’s ‘The Living Room’, Barry – fondly known as Baz – is a renovation expert, master builder, Hisense Australia ambassador and board member for R U OK?

Ahead of this year’s R U OK? Day, set to take place on 8 September, Baz has kindly offered to join us at Middleman Café, Caribbean Park to share his story and the importance of asking a simple question, R U OK?

R U OK? is a harm prevention charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives.

R U OK? contributes to suicide prevention efforts by encouraging people to invest more time in their personal relationships and building the capacity of informal support networks – friends, family and colleagues – to be alert to those around them, have a conversation if they identify signs of distress or difficulty, and connect someone to appropriate support, long before they’re in crisis.

We encourage you to grab a coffee or a snack and listen to Baz talk about this very important topic, that we should all really get behind.

Look forward to seeing you!

Defibrillator (AED)

Caribbean Park has purchased and installed an automated external defibrillator (AED) located on the external wall of Middleman. Please see image below for location.

The use of AEDs is recommended by Australian Resuscitation Council, Safe Work Australia, WorkSafe Victoria and Ambulance Victoria. More and more businesses are recognising the cost or being unprepared and addressing the need to expand their safety policies to include an AED program. These simple life-saving devices are as important as a first aid kit. Having readily accessible defibrillators In your workplace show you’re serious about preventing death from sudden cardiac arrest.

We have also negotiated a special deal for any Caribbean Park tenants wishing to do the same.
