Family alliance with Monash Health Foundation

With a rich history in philanthropy, the Spooner family – owners of Caribbean Park – are building  a relationship with Victoria’s largest public health provider, Monash Health.

The alliance with the Monash Health Foundation, will see the Spooners spearhead fund raising for the establishment of a new stand-alone Paediatric Emergency Department.

Monash Health provides comprehensive world class care across the age spectrum and the new Paediatric Emergency Department, which is under construction, will allow for the care of 7000 more children each year.

Family matriarch Janet Spooner, awarded an OAM for years of charitable service to Victoria, will champion this new relationship with the Foundation.

“Our family believes in the value of community and the importance of giving and being an active contributor to its growth.  This is such a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference to the healthcare in our community”.

Whilst a family initiative, Caribbean Park will adopt Monash Health Foundation as its charity partner going forward.

Take-away options now available onsite

New take-away options will be available for workers throughout Caribbean Park during COVID-19 restrictions.

Both San Lorenzo Restaurant and The Middleman cafe will be open for take-away options from Monday 20 March 2020.

Caribbean Park has been in touch with a number of tenants throughout the estate to check-in and touch base with how companies are adapting and coping with the changes, due to COVID 19. After a few tenants highlighted their yearning for good coffee and decent food (after the onsite cafes ceased trade) Caribbean Park put together a survey to reach out to the community and see just how many people may require food and beverage onsite, during this time.

The Caribbean Park community responded with very useful information. This survey data was passed on to the onsite food and beverage operators who were able to craft their take-away menu and now resume trade.

San Lorenzo will offer beverages: coffee, soft drinks, beer or a cheering takeaway wine if anyone needs as well as a take away menu.

Middleman will offer coffee, breakfast items, snacks/sweets, wraps and sandwiches.
